Bedding for a moses basket is not cut like bedding for a cot. A 70×40 base is a non-standard size, and nothing off the shelf fits it: the sheet slides off, the blanket is too big, and a pillow from an adult set simply does not go in.
This muslin bedding set 70×40 is sewn for the basket. The fitted sheet stays on the base and does not gather underneath a baby who turns in their sleep. The 80×60 cm blanket is sized to cover, not to tangle.
The fabric is premium muslin, 100% cotton. It is weightless, it breathes, and it grows softer with every wash rather than stiffer. The sewing is proper: a straight cut that does not twist after washing, and no loose threads or coarse seams on the inside — which is the side that touches a newborn’s skin.

Fabric and filling
Muslin — a layered cotton fabric with its characteristic crinkled texture. Light, breathable, it does not trap heat and does not irritate. Its key property for babies: washing makes it softer, not coarser.
Cotton wadding in the blanket — a filling that is 80% cotton. Light and warm, rated for +10 to +18 °C: shoulder seasons and cool nights. In hot weather the blanket is not needed at all, and that is fine — the set works as a sheet.
The pillow is thin and shaped, as its maker intended. Whether to use it for a newborn, and when, is a decision for your paediatrician — in the first months babies are usually advised to sleep without one.
Prints and trim
Around 100 prints: plain, fine patterns, animals, botanicals. The edge is finished with ruffle, lace or pompoms, your choice.

What temperature should I wash it at?
Delicate cycle, low temperature, no bleach, minimum spin. Exact figures are on the label — they depend on the fabric and trim. Muslin softens after washing, and the set is cut so it will not twist.
Will it fit my basket?
This one fits a 70 × 40 cm base — the Standard model. For Comfort 80 × 40, for a cot, or for another maker's basket we sew to your measurements: send the base dimensions and we will price it.
How many prints are there, and can I see them all?
Around a hundred. Showing all of them on one page is not practical — write to us and we will send a selection for your interior, and choose the trim together: ruffle, lace or pompoms.
Is the blanket warm enough?
It is rated for +10 to +18 °C — shoulder seasons and cool nights. That is deliberate: overheating is more dangerous for a baby than being slightly cool, so the filling is light.
