Cotton Cot Canopies for the Nursery
A canopy is three panels of 100% cotton falling from a 55 cm hoop. The fabric does not wrap the cot tightly — it hangs open, so air keeps moving and the space underneath never feels stuffy.
A cotton cot canopy is not only for the cot
The hoop takes a single ceiling hook, which means it goes wherever it is needed at the moment:
- over a moses basket or cot — to soften daylight during naps;
- over a play area — it makes a corner a child will climb into with a book;
- over a feeding chair — diffuse light instead of the ceiling fixture.
The fabric takes the edge off noise as well: it is noticeably quieter under a canopy than in the middle of the room.

Hanging it
Place the hook so the panels do not hang inside the cot and stay out of a child’s reach. Once the baby starts pulling themselves up and grabbing at things, move the canopy higher or into the play area.
