Question 1

Which carriers do you use?

Accepted Answer

Nova Poshta — to a branch, a parcel locker or by courier to the door. Ukrposhta and Meest Express — to a branch or by courier. You choose the method in the order form and put the branch number in the order note. We deliver to any town or village in Ukraine served by the carrier you choose.

Question 2

How much is delivery?

Accepted Answer

Within Ukraine, delivery is free: its cost is already built into the price of the piece. Free delivery applies within Ukraine only — delivery abroad is paid separately, at the carrier’s rates, and we will tell you the cost after you order. If you pay cash on delivery, the transfer fee is paid by the recipient; free delivery does not cover it.

Question 3

When do you dispatch?

Accepted Answer

After the piece is finished. The time has two parts: 14 working days of making, then the carrier’s transit — usually from one day within Ukraine. In any case we hand the item to the carrier no later than thirty days from the day the order is placed.

Question 4

Do you ship outside Ukraine?

Accepted Answer

Yes — to the European Union, the United Kingdom, the USA and Canada. Transit times depend on the carrier and on customs in the destination country, and are usually considerably longer than domestic ones; free delivery applies within Ukraine only: delivery abroad is paid separately, and we will tell you the cost after you order — or earlier, if you write to us before ordering. The order form has an “International shipping” option for this: choose it and put your full address with postcode in the “Delivery and order notes” field. Any duty, fees and taxes charged by the destination country are paid by the recipient. Cash on delivery does not work internationally: international orders are paid in advance.

Question 5

How much does a basket weigh? Could I collect it myself?

Accepted Answer

The box with a basket weighs 12 kg — not heavy, but large: 80 × 40 × 30 cm. Collecting it yourself is realistic, though a trolley or a second pair of hands helps at the branch. Box weight and dimensions for each item are given on its product page.

Question 6

I would like to order a handmade basket — how much is it?

Accepted Answer

The price of every item is on its own page in the catalogue and depends on the model and the size. Prices on the site are always current; we keep no separate price list.

Question 7

What does the price of a basket include?

Accepted Answer

The complete set: basket, orthopaedic mattress, rocking stand, pendant, packaging and storage covers. Only the bedding is bought separately: we sew muslin sets to the size of the basket. Delivery within Ukraine is already included in the price.

Question 8

Are the prices on the site final?

Accepted Answer

Yes. All settlement is in hryvnia, and prices include all taxes and mandatory charges. If the site shows a price in another currency, that is a reference conversion: the amount charged is set in hryvnia, and the rate and any fee are set by your bank.

Question 9

How can I pay?

Accepted Answer

By Visa, Mastercard or PROSTIR card, Apple Pay or Google Pay, in instalments or on 0% credit from Monobank, by bank transfer — or cash on delivery within Ukraine. Online payments go through WayForPay: you enter your card details on their secure page, and we neither see nor store them.

Question 10

Do you accept the state “Pakunok Malyuka” card?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we do. Write to us before placing the order and we will agree how to process the payment.

Question 11

Can I pay in parts?

Accepted Answer

Yes — instalments and 0% credit from Monobank. You can split the amount into several payments on the payment page itself; the number of payments and the bank are chosen there too, and the options available depend on your card. Instalments and bank transfer work within Ukraine only — they are products of Ukrainian banks.

Question 12

Can I pay cash on delivery?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within Ukraine. It is the carrier’s service rather than a payment provider’s: the transfer fee is paid by the recipient at the carrier’s rates; free delivery does not cover it. For pieces made to your own parameters we may ask for a deposit — the amount is agreed with you before work starts.

Question 13

What is the colour palette?

Accepted Answer

Available colours are shown on each product page, as swatches or photographs. For baskets the colour is chosen on the product page itself; for items without a colour selector, leave the shade you want in the order note.

Question 14

How do I choose a colour from a photograph?

Accepted Answer

Shades on a screen can differ from the real thing. If the exact tone matters to you, write to us — we will advise and send extra photographs.

Question 15

Can I order my own colour?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Tell us which shade you need and we will say whether that cord exists and work out the time.

Question 16

What sizes are there?

Accepted Answer

We make baskets in two sizes: Standard 70 × 40 cm and Comfort 80 × 40 cm. Dimensions for everything else are given on the individual product pages.

Question 17

What age is a basket for?

Accepted Answer

The 70 × 40 suits roughly to 5–6 months, the 80 × 40 to 7–8 months. After that a baby outgrows the side.

Question 18

How does Comfort differ from Standard?

Accepted Answer

By the base size only: 80 × 40 against 70 × 40. Contents of the set, materials and quality are identical.

Question 19

Can a baby sleep in it at night, or is it more for daytime?

Accepted Answer

At night as well. Many parents stand the basket flush against their own bed — it makes night feeds easier, without getting up.

Question 20

How long does it take to make?

Accepted Answer

14 working days. For pieces made to your own parameters — your own size, your own cord colour, engraving — the clock starts on the day we have agreed all the details with you.

Question 21

Do you have it in stock?

Accepted Answer

Every piece is crocheted to order — there is no warehouse of finished items. That is why the made to order lead time is the same for catalogue positions and for custom ones.

Question 22

It is a gift, for a particular date. Will it arrive in time?

Accepted Answer

Count 14 working days for making plus the shipping time. If the date is critical, write to us before ordering and we will tell you honestly whether it can be done.

Question 23

What comes in a set? Just the basket?

Accepted Answer

The set is complete: basket, mattress, rocking stand, pendant, packaging and covers. Only the bedding is bought separately: we sew muslin sets to the size of the basket.

Question 24

Can I order only the stand, or only the basket?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the basket and the stand can be ordered separately — write to us and we will work out what you actually need.

Question 25

Does the mattress have to be ordered separately?

Accepted Answer

No. Baskets and nests include the mattress, and its cover comes off for washing.

Question 26

Can you make my own size or colour?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Write to us with what you need — we will agree the parameters and work out the time.

Question 27

What temperature should I wash at?

Accepted Answer

Delicate cycle, low temperature, no bleach, minimum spin. The exact cycle for a particular item is given on its label.

Question 28

What are the pieces made of?

Accepted Answer

Oeko-Tex certified cotton in the cord and the textiles, natural wood — solid birch, no lacquer or paint — and pressed linen in the mattress. The composition of each item is given on its product page.

Question 29

Is the mattress genuinely orthopaedic?

Accepted Answer

Yes, pressed linen, with a registration certificate from the Ministry of Health of Ukraine and a state patent. We show the documents on request.

Question 30

What if the item does not suit?

Accepted Answer

Return it within fourteen days of receipt, without explaining why. We pay the return shipping. That applies to pieces made to your own parameters as well — formally we could refuse, and we do not use that right.

Question 31

When will I get my money back?

Accepted Answer

Within seven days of the item reaching us. By the same method you paid: card payments go back to the card; cash on delivery or a transfer goes to the details you provide.

Question 32

What if the parcel arrives damaged?

Accepted Answer

Inspect the parcel at the branch. If the box is crushed or torn, or the item is damaged, ask the carrier’s representative to draw up a report, photograph the packaging and the item, and write to us the same day at legal@babywood.shop or call +380 (63) 180-38-79.
