A crocheted moses basket Standard 70×40 — the sleeping place that stays where you are: beside the bed, in the kitchen, in the living room. The basket is crocheted from Oeko-Tex cotton cord; the rocking stand is turned from solid birch and held by stoppers. An orthopaedic linen mattress, a horse pendant and gift packaging come with it. Bedding is chosen separately in muslin sets.
In the first months a baby sleeps in snatches and wakes at the smallest rustle. The basket stands where you are — beside your own bed at night, in the kitchen or the living room during the day.
The basket is crocheted by hand from certified cotton cord. It holds its shape, carries by the handles, and stays soft on the inside — the baby sleeps as if held, not in a hard frame. You will also see this shape called a bassinet or a crib basket; with an orthopaedic mattress inside, it is a full sleeping place rather than a carrier.
This is a basket on a rocking stand: the basket holds its own shape, and the movement comes from the solid birch base underneath.
The 70×40 cm size is the straight-from-hospital format and lasts to around 5–6 months. After that a baby begins sitting up and moves to a cot, while the basket carries on as storage for toys or blankets.

Materials
Certified Oeko-Tex cotton, natural wood, linen. That is why this model can be called natural without a caveat: there is no synthetic fibre in either the basket or the mattress.
The mattress is pressed linen and carries a Ministry of Health of Ukraine registration certificate as a medical-purpose product, protected by a state patent. That is not a marketing formula: linen has its own springiness, it keeps the back straight and does not clump after months of sleep.
The stand is solid birch. Wood, not veneer or chipboard: it takes years of daily rocking and carries no smell.

Care
- The basket is not machine washed — cotton cord is cleaned with a damp sponge and mild baby soap, then dried at room temperature, away from radiators and hairdryers
- The mattress cover comes off and washes separately at 30°, no bleach, minimum spin
- The wood is wiped with a dry or barely damp cloth

Is this the same as a bassinet or a moses basket?
Yes. Bassinet, crib basket, moses basket, nest — all are names for the same thing. We call it a basket because it is a full sleeping place with an orthopaedic mattress, not a carrier.
Can the baby sleep in it at night?
Yes. Many parents stand it flush against their own bed — night feeds are easier when you do not have to get up.
What comes in the set? Just the basket?
The set is complete: basket, mattress, rocking stand, pendant, packaging and covers. Nothing needs buying separately.
Can I order only the stand or only the basket?
Yes, the basket and the stand can be ordered separately — write to us and we will work out what you need.
How long will the 70×40 size last?
To 5–6 months. If you would rather have it serve longer, look at the Comfort 80×40 basket — it takes a baby to 7–8 months.
How long is the wait?
Production takes 14 working days — every basket is crocheted to order. Then 1–2 days for delivery with Nova Poshta.
How much does it weigh? Could I collect it myself?
The box weighs 12 kg — not heavy, but large: 80 × 42 × 32 cm. Collecting it yourself is perfectly possible, though a trolley or a second pair of hands helps at the branch.
Is the mattress really orthopaedic?
Yes, pressed linen, with a Ministry of Health of Ukraine certificate and a state patent. We send the documents on request.
